Greg is a 26-year-old professional triathlete who is currently leading the USA Triathlon qualification process for the 2016 US Olympic Team!
He is without a doubt a dynamic guy who is a ton of fun to interview. He’ll be around for quite a while in the triathlon world, chasing Olympic glory in not only 2016, but in 2020. Grab a cold beverage, sit back and enjoy!
Greg takes us back to the 2011/12 seasons where he was trying to qualify for the 2012 Olympics games in London. After getting hit by a car in 2011, leaving him with two broken arms… that was all in jeopardy. He tells us the story about racing in a Continental Cup race where he needed to perform in order to get into the Olympic trials event. Greg was in the mix, then his chained snapped. How Greg handled this situation is CLASSIC!
Greg tells us all about the course in Rio, the swim and the bike course as well as getting into some thoughts on race day in August, 2016.
“What is our aim? I can answer in one word: victory; victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory, however long and hard the road may be; for without victory, there is no survival.” -Winston Churchill
